Seventh West China Power Electronics Development and Application Forum

On the morning of July 19, 2018, the Seventh Forum on the Development and Application of Power Electronics in Western China, co-sponsored by Sichuan Power Electronics Society, Chengdu Power Electronics Society and the Organizing Committee of the Industrial Exposition, was solemnly held at the Century City International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Experts and professors from Southwest Jiaotong University, Electronic Science and Technology University, Sichuan University, Xihua University, Southwest Petroleum University and other universities, as well as scientific and technological personnel from Dongfang Hitachi (Chengdu) Electronic Control Equipment Company, Sichuan Yingjie Electric Co., Ltd., Chengdu Edi Electric Co., Ltd., Chengdu Guangda Power and Electronics Technology Research Institute, and representatives of Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, totaled more than 130. Participants attended the forum.

At the forum, Professor Li Hong of Xi'an Petroleum University, Vice General Manager Jiang Zhongwen of Lanhai Huateng, Shenzhen, and Vice Professor Gao Wei of University of Electronic Science and Technology made special reports on "Current Sharing of High Current Power Electronic Converter Equipment", "New Technology and Development Trend of Electric Vehicle Motor Control System", "Thermal Testing and Thermal Failure of High Power Semiconductor Devices". Heavy enterprises in the power electronics industry, such as Hitachi Oriental, Yingjie Electric, Siyuan Silicon Creation and Baizhong Fastening, have exchanged new products in the fields of high voltage current power supply for electron beam smelting, primary control and logistics control for intelligent factories.

The forum also invited Chen Dawei, deputy director of the Xi'an Industry and Information Technology Commission, to make an investment promotion for Xi'an, so that participants could understand the history, culture and economic development of the ancient capital, Xi'an, and the current situation and future.

As a brand activity of the Institute of Power Electronics, the Forum on the Development and Application of Power Electronics in Western China has reached the expectation of "focusing on new development, innovating to win the future", and will play an active role in promoting the development of power electronics technology in Western China.
