Is the electromagnetic environment safe in life?

In order to better understand the ubiquitous problem of electromagnetic radiation in people's living environment and treat it scientifically and rationally, sponsored by Sichuan Association of Science and Technology and sponsored by Sichuan Institute of Power Electronics, "Is the electromagnetic environment safe in life?" The Innovation Forum was successfully held in the Provincial Science and Technology Museum on August 30. In addition to the relevant experts and entrepreneurs of the meeting, the expert representatives of the Provincial Occupational Safety and Health Association were invited to participate in the exchange and discussion.

    First of all, the forum was sponsored by Professor Zhang Dairun, Executive Director and Director of Expert Committee of China Electrical Technology Society, Sichuan Electrical Electronics Society, and Professor Zhang Dairun, School of Electrical Information, Sichuan University, on electromagnetic radiation issues of special concern in everyday life, such as transmission and transformation engineering, maglev train, electromagnetic oven, microwave oven, airplane radiation, wifi, mobile phone and ionizing radiation. After discussing the current situation and research progress, and publishing their own views, everyone revolved around "facts and assumptions?" "How to protect people's health in complex electromagnetic environment?" These issues were discussed and analyzed enthusiastically, with each expressing his own opinions and a lively atmosphere. The common feeling is that the problem of electromagnetic radiation, involving a wide range of factors and a long research cycle, can not be solved overnight or reach clear conclusions, often requires long-term and continuous attention and research, and gradually clarify its impact or hazards. Therefore, when it comes to electromagnetic radiation, we should pay more attention to it and minimize its adverse effects according to the relevant norms. However, we should not worry and panic about it. We should face the problem of electromagnetic radiation everywhere in our life rationally.

    It is also hoped that the relevant government departments will attach great importance to the electromagnetic environment. Suggestions: (1) The electromagnetic environment in our region should be regularly monitored and publicized at least once a year so that the public can understand and rest assured. (2) Construction projects that generate electromagnetic radiation, such as transmission and distribution stations, TV towers and mobile phone base stations, should be strictly checked and approved.  Before the implementation of the project, the planning, site selection and implementation criteria should be made public to the people and listen to public opinions in order to facilitate scientific and harmonious construction. (3) Mobile phones, computers, microwave ovens and other household goods prone to electromagnetic radiation must be strictly monitored to provide high-quality products for everyone to use. Of course, propaganda should also be strengthened to improve the scientific quality of the whole people. Proper use of daily necessities, such as: do not put the mobile phone on the pillow while sleeping, do not use the mobile phone in elevators or enclosed space, etc., to reduce or avoid the harm and pollution of electromagnetic radiation. Finally, we hope that the whole people will look at and deal with problems scientifically and rationally, and work together to create a green and harmonious living environment.
