Science Popularization Activities in Villages and Towns

At the launching ceremony, experts publicized and consulted about health knowledge, such as vision protection, intestinal infectious disease prevention, chronic disease prevention, scientific rodent control, electricity safety, household appliances purchase, energy-saving use and maintenance of household appliances. More than 3000 copies of health care materials, such as leaflets, folders, newspapers and posters, were distributed free of charge, including nearly 5000 copies of scientific and technological materials such as "basic knowledge of electricity use", "energy saving and emission reduction", "low-carbon life", "environmental protection", "disaster prevention and mitigation", "water saving". More than 1000 sets of figures were attached. More than 200 people have answered the questions about electricity safety and energy saving maintenance of household appliances.

In the Military Flag Home for the Elderly, four ophthalmologists used visual acuity chart, slit lamp microscope and other equipment to screen and diagnose 58 elderly people for eye diseases, such as visual acuity examination, cataract and so on. Five electrical technicians not only checked the electrical equipment to deal with the hidden trouble in time, but also guaranteed the safety of the Home for the Elderly. Four washing machines, one audio and one TV set were repaired. Some comrades have carefully cleaned the courtyards of the nursing homes without leaving any dead corners; they have also come to chat with the elderly and gossip about their daily life, and sent health knowledge brochures to the elderly, and explained them in detail, hoping that they will take good care of their bodies. The old people are all spiritually strong and feel genuine care and warmth.

On the same day, we also studied the "Town Association Cooperation" in 2013, striving to achieve greater results in the development of science and technology, personnel training, village, station and column publicity, energy conservation, new product development, scientific and technological innovation of enterprises. The Association of Visiting Sciences continues to give its concern and guidance.
