2014 SICHUAN POWER ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES

According to the notification request of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology (CAST) to hold the member day activities of CAST in 2014, the Sichuan Institute of Power Electronics (SIPEE) held a member day activity in the Sichuan Science and Technology Museum on December 19, with the theme of "Warm Home, Festival Greetings". Nearly 150 delegates participated in the event. Researcher Zhang Xixiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Minister Tang Lihua of the Publicity Department of the Provincial Association of Science and Technology, and Vice Minister Li Mei of the Society Department were present at the event. We celebrated the festival with you and made important speeches. They gave full affirmation to the achievements made by the society, offered Festival sympathy and hope to the members, and set off a climax of activities.

This event organized and watched the propaganda film of the Association of Chinese Sciences Members Day, showing the advanced deeds of the winners of the six national outstanding scientific and technological workers. I listened to Professor Guo Shiming, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and representatives of Yingjie, Dongfang Hitachi and Chengdu Zhitian enterprises respectively on the excellent reports of "Power Electronics Discipline Development" and "Enterprise Innovation Development". In recognition of the advanced workers of the Society in 2014, their representatives delivered their award-winning speeches. A symposium was held to ask about members and listen to their opinions and suggestions on building a "home" and other academic abilities. It is rich in content and bright spots.

Looking at the venue, the colorful layout, the festival greeting slogans, the day promotional films and beautiful music played by the members of the Chinese Association of Sciences, people are really dazzling; the president's warm speech and festival greetings, and the grand luncheon of congratulations, everyone seems to have returned to the home that we miss all the time, feeling cordial and warm.

The activities commended 53 comrades who had made remarkable achievements in the work of the Society in 2014, and listened to Yan Tingman, former president and general engineer of Sichuan Electric Power Design Institute, Fandong teacher of Southwest Jiaotong University, Minister Shen Jingyun of Oriental Hitachi (Chengdu) Electric Control Equipment Company, and Yan Xiaowei, president of Southwest Jiaotong University Branch, who were representatives of advanced workers from different fronts. The report of "Development of Power Electronics" and "Innovation and Development of Enterprises" helps us to understand the development trend of power electronics and its role in the development of national economy as well as the theme role of enterprise innovation. It is not only deeply inspiring, but also a great sense of responsibility. Everyone expressed that they should learn from excellent scientists and technicians. We should carry forward their spirit of hard struggle and selfless dedication, shoulder the mission of society, make greater efforts to further conquer core technologies, accelerate the development of electric power and electronic industry, and make greater contributions to the creation of an innovative country and Sichuan, and to the full realization of a well-off society. 
                                    
    At the symposium, everyone spoke actively. While fully affirming the plan and implementation plan of learning ability improvement, many very good suggestions and feasible methods with strong operability are put forward. We also agreed that in order to build the "home" of learning society better, we must actively undertake the work of learning society, strive hard and make greater contributions to the development of learning society.
                                    

At the end of the activity, we still remember to encourage each other. We told the society that as long as we need to learn, we should spare time to do the work that we learned to hand over. In order to build the "home" of the society better and make the society an innovative society that meets the needs of social development and satisfies the majority of its members, we must work together.

This activity not only strengthens the cohesion of the Society, but also greatly strengthens the confidence of its members. We believe that with the concern of the Provincial Association of Science and Technology, the specific guidance of the Institute Department, the correct leadership of the Council, and the joint efforts of the members, our Society will be able to build an innovative society that meets the needs of social development and satisfies the majority of its members.
